Philippa Nuttall is an experienced writer, journalist and editor focused on the climate and nature crises.
Romie Goedicke, co-Head of Nature at The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI)
Romie Goedicke Co-heads the nature thematic at the UNEP Finance Initiative. She also leads the work on nature-related risk and disclosure, and manages the work on mainstreaming and capacity building. In this ways she supports the work on alignment of financial flows with the goals of the GBF. Romie joined UNEP FI in 2021, prior to joining she led the work of financial sector and business engagement at IUCN Netherlands. Romie is an experienced senior program manager, with a demonstrated history in managing programs on nature and finance in Asia and Africa. She is passionate about nature and committed to the role that innovation and collaboration can play in creating shared solutions for nature and finance.
Marc Vogt, Board Member, Innovate 4 Nature
Marc Vogt is the founder and managing director of In-Finitude SA. He has extensive expertise in project innovation, environmental science and teaching in the field of biodiversity. With over 15 years' experience in the field, he has acquired unique skills in project management by implementing innovative solutions on behalf of a variety of clients, ranging from small and large companies to multinationals, public authorities and academic institutions. He is the initiator of the Pollenn® web-app, an intelligent geomatic platform for citizen science and biomonitoring. Marc Vogt can draw on extensive networks and also has a wealth of experience in voluntary work, having chaired a number of not-for-profit environmental and social participation associations.
Marc sits on the Board of Directors for Innovate 4 Nature, a unique marketplace bringing start-ups, companies and investors together demonstrating the business case for biodiversity and scaling Nature-based and Nature-positive Solutions.

Barbara Dubach, Managing director and founder engageability, Barbara has been passionate about sustainability for more than 25 years and has gained longstanding, international experience in industry and public sectors. She is the CEO and founder of engageability – a center of excellence for sustainability and stakeholder engagement and co-initiator and board member of I4N – Innovate 4 Nature – a unique marketplace for nature-based solutions demonstrating the business case for biodiversity.
She sits on the board of several organisations including Holzheizkraftwerk Aubrugg, Innovate 4 Nature (i4n.ch), Pusch, Swisscleantech, and the council for sustainable investments at the Alternative Bank Switzerland.
Innovate 4 Nature is a unique marketplace bringing start-ups, companies and investors together demonstrating the business case for biodiversity and scaling Nature-based and Nature-positive Solutions.
Piet Theron, (B Landscape Architecture, MPhil Environmental Science) is a Landscape Architect working in the environmental planning and management field. Piet has more than 27 years’ experience working on a wide range of natural resource management and social development projects in southern Africa. His key skills and expertise are focused on planning, managing, and implementing large, landscape-level and complex multi-national, multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder, integrated conservation and rural development projects. These often involve setting up effective partnerships between governments, the private sector, NGOs and local communities. Piet also has for the past 18 years been involved in the implementation of the Southern African Development Community’s (SADC) Transfrontier Conservation Areas Programme.
Ian Brettell, Biodiversity Policy officer at Crowther Lab. Ian practised as a lawyer in Australia for several years before completing a PhD in genetics at the University of Cambridge. He has recently joined the Crowther Lab at ETH Zurich to help translate the lab's global-scale biodiversity research into practical outcomes through policy mechanisms. His current focus is the SEED Biocomplexity Index: a recent initiative of the lab that provides a holistic metric for tracking changes in biodiversity over time, for every terrestrial pixel on the planet. SEED will inform governments and businesses about the underlying state of biodiversity in their areas of activity, and about which interventions are most effective at restoring nature, thereby facilitating the transition into a nature positive economy.
